Continuum – A Spacey Collaboration with Mr Jones Watches

Continuum – A Spacey Collaboration with Mr Jones Watches

It’s always a bit surreal when something you’ve been working on quietly behind the scenes for months (in this case, nearly a year!) finally makes its way out into the world. I’m so happy I can finally share Continuum, a limited edition watch I designed in collaboration with the brilliant team at @mrjoneswatches.

This all started back in May 2024, when I visited the Mr Jones Watches studio and we got chatting about the possibility of working together. If you know their work, you’ll understand why I was immediately drawn in. Their watches are playful, unconventional, and full of character. Nothing about them is standard, which made the idea of designing one feel like a proper adventure! I was excited by the idea of creating something narrative-led and immersive on such a tiny scale, a little world ticking away on your wrist. I immediately knew I wanted to do something around the theme of Space.

I’ve always loved space as a concept — there’s something about the freedom of it, the way time and gravity bend, and the bold, otherworldly use of colour that keeps drawing me back. It’s a thread that’s run through a lot of my previous work, from the neon-soaked chaos of Pin Ball Atomic Arcade to the cosmic creatures in The A–Z of Pop Culture Creatures book. Both pieces fed into the aesthetic of this watch in subtle ways, either through the palette, the playful detail or that sense of joyful disorder. The name Continuum felt like a natural extension of that, a nod to the constant motion of time and space.

The design itself is full of movement and tiny details: a swirling vortex marks the seconds, a comet orbits the dial to show the minutes, and a rocket ship reveals the hour through its little window. I also designed the packaging, which features a wraparound space pattern to match the energy of the watch face. Each watch came with its own engraved number on the back, making it a small detail that made the whole thing feel more personal and collectable.

The watch was available for 24 hours only and has now sold out, but you can register your interest  here to sign up to the waiting list.

This collaboration was a genuine joy to work on — a proper creative deep dive into a theme I love, with a team who really value craftsmanship and design. I’m really proud of how it turned out, and so grateful to everyone who picked one up or shared the excitement on launch day!
