Young V&A Design Journal

In March of 2025 I began an 8 week residency in the Shed at Young V&A where I experimented with my illustrations using their RISO machine and thought about their ethos around the themes of imagination and Play which are both central to my design practice.

In the lead up to my time there I pitched an idea of a workbook for children to use while visiting the museum which we decided to develop together. The concept evolved into a Design Journal for school groups who visit the space, focused specifically on Key Stage 2 and the content was created in collaboration with students and teachers at Bygrove Primary School. 

Over a few sessions we tested activities together, inspired by the Young V&A's Imagine, Play and Design Galleries.✏️

The journal has been RISO printed by Duplikat Press in Margate, and printed copies are available for FREE (whilst copies last) to Tower Hamlets primary schools. It’s also available for any school, parent, teacher or individual to download from the V&A website here
